There are two main characters: Knud Pedersen and Jens Pedersen. These two brothers were the founders of the Churchill Club which was a gang of reliable companions in attempt to fight the Nazis. They would sabotage Hitler’s army trying to stop them, in hope that the British would come and free Denmark.

1915

The story behind it was the leader of Denmark refused to resist the Nazis, so a 15 year old boy named Knud Pedersen decided to form a resist called the Churchill Club. He and his brother Jens, and a couple of school mates would sneak around town and destroy Nazi property like cars, guns, and more.

But their efforts were not in vain: the boys' exploits and eventual imprisonment helped spark a full-blown Danish resistance. The Churchill Club (Danish: Churchill-klubben) was a group of eight teenage schoolboys from Aalborg Cathedral School in the north of Jutland who performed acts of sabotage against the Germans during the occupation of Denmark in the Second World War. The Churchill Club was one of the earliest resistance group to be formed in Denmark. Knud Pedersen: A group of us boys in Odense, my older brother, Jens, and my cousins included, started reading the newspapers every day. They were filled with stories of Norwegian civilians being murdered by German troops. In the short movie “Sabotagegruppen Churchill-klubbenlub” (Resistance Group Churchill Club), Knud Pedersen, who died at the age of 88 in 2014, talks (in Danish) about the club. There are two main characters: Knud Pedersen and Jens Pedersen.

At the outset of World War II, Denmark did not resist German occupation. Deeply ashamed of his nation's leaders, fifteen-year-old Knud Pedersen resolved with his brother and a handful of schoolmates to take action against the Nazis if the adults would not. Naming their secret club after the fiery British leader, the young patriots in the Churchill Club committed countless acts of sabotage

Knud and Jens Pedersen began looking for new recruits while attending Aalbrog’s Cathedral School, staffed with many who had Nazi ties. These young men continued their battle, despite potential consequences. They decided to blow up the Aalborg railroad yard which was the Nazi base in Aalborg. He shows a strong sense of patriotism, integrity, and leadership skills as he starts the RAF Club and later the Churchill Club. In his sabotage work he proves himself to be brave and idealistic, though he can also be reckless and messy, traits that lead him to clash with his more collected brother Jens.
